Hey Theresa, what's Houseboat Camp?

Julia said it was a church thing, but that's about all she knew.

So what is it?

Haha well, I'm glad you were so helpful Julia.

Basically, we drive a bus down to a marina, then put our bags on a boat, then drive that boat to a lot of houseboats tied up together, then live there for five days.

Each houseboat itself holds at most 20 people, give or take a few. For example, my boat had 19 senior girls and 4 leaders.

There were maybe twelve boats all tied up together, and each one held a specific age group, and then also the staff and the cooks and the tech people.

Once we all settle in, the fun commences.

We basically eat, hang out on top of or in the boats, go tubing and wakeboarding, make multiple anklets and other such jewelry (I have six, Marissa and Sarah have 8...), swim in the lake, have worship and a talk every night, and just have fun...for five days.

It is the best camp of my life.

And this year's camp was the best ever.

I'm so sad to have had to leave. I almost cried.

i was told that i just have to lead the kids from place to place but then at the meeting i found out that im pretty much the one that spends the most time with the kids! hopefully i get a good age group.

Ohh...that'll be so much fun! I love little kids, even when they're annoying. That is one of the perks of my job. Haha one of the only perks...

im not much of a kid person but they needed people and caitlin kept asking me so i said ok.

Haha giving into peer pressure.

Sarah's pretty good at doing that. I convinced her to sing with me at houseboat...she said she "didn't want to" but you and I both know she's pretty fun-loving.

you know she wanted to. she always wants to sing.

Then why can't one of you get her to randomly burst into song and dance in the halls of Westview?

What makes you think she doesn't?

Because every time I see her, no song nor dance.

Really? She must not like you then... Because every time she sees me she bursts into song. But then again, a lot of people do. I inspire music.

Or better yet, we could all come up with some song and sing in unison!

And now the idea has been killed because there's no way that'll happen.

i think we should do it! IM DEAD SERIOUS! we are seniors now so we are allowed to make fools of ourselves.

No, you guys are allowed to make fools of yourselves. I'm allowed to watch and get jealous if what you do works out.

So what kind of song are you thinking?

i have no idea. im not a person that knows a lot of songs.

Well, since we're probably going to make up a song, then that doesn't really matter.

who's creative enough to make up a song? NOT ME!
