Well, I was thinking "duh."

I'm pretty much aiming to go to California for college.

Eh, it'll be kinda hard to leave behind this old place. But it'll also be exciting to go to California to live on my own.

But why get excited just yet? We still have another year to get through.

Hah, basically every UC school and all the other "good" California schools.

I'm trying to narrow down the list.

Well, I figure that as soon as I take my California trip, I can start to cross colleges off the list for arbitrary reasons.

Hah, I see. Well, I pretty much have a pact with a portion of my friends to go to school in California. Plus, I already know a few seniors that went to California schools.

But I have to tell you, having a theme to work with for college choices makes it a lot easier. You have the whole nation to cross off your list, I just have schools in California.

Well, that's a bit unfortunate. The east coast has like, half the good school in one concentrated area. Well, concentrated when compared to the giant west.

I don't think that excluding state schools would get rid of that many colleges, though.

Hah. Does that mean you won't go to schools with religious affiliations that are different than yours, or won't go to schools that don't have your religious affiliation? There's a pretty big difference.

schools with religious affiliation different than mine. there are plenty of private schools without religious affiliation which are more of what i am interested in but if i find a christian college that i want to go to, then i'll apply.

Okay, yeah, that was my point.

Personally, I'd just shy away from any college with a religious affiliation.

I have no idea where i want to go to college. I do know I don't want to be too far away, and the school has to have a decent drama program. And I'd really like to study abroad. I'm with Julia on the no california schools. I've only heard bad things about them.

Actually, I'm going to California tomorrow night on a trip to check out the colleges. I might be on the forum, I might not be.

Especially if you want to make it a career.

Don't you have friends you can hang out with, Julia?
