yes that is true for games. but i dont have nerves for practice. unless i have a bad day. then i freak out about how i cant hit or dig or set.

Well, then again, when I'm in the spotlight like that, I'm usually giving a speech. So using adrenaline wouldn't be fun.

i dont like speeches. i absolutely hate them. i cant believe that they make us do them. grr.

well i think i remember you making a 15 minute speech in 8th grade. i usually barely make the minimum time requirement. i dont like getting in front of people my age talking about something i dont care about.

i had no problem teaching math to the geometry kids when dobashi wasnt there. i like math so it wasnt a problem. plus they were younger so i really didnt care.

That was during 8th grade while sick and while talking about something I don't like to talk about; myself.

For the rest of high school, I've been doing quite well.

lol that was seriously the best speech ever though. i have never seen a teacher get so frustrated that a student was talking so long. hah i dont like talking about myself either. it makes me feel egocentric.

But yes, I was delerious.

But the story is actually awesome, because everytime Zach brings it up, I get to say that I still managed to beat him by one point.

Also, Zach screwed up enough to get the teacher to yell at him. I stopped just short of that.

I was in that core too. And I think Michelle was too. We all know about your amazing speech, Connor. Just be happy.

You were. I'm pretty sure Michelle was too, although I don't explicitly remember her in humanities.

Hey, I've had more amazing speeches since that one. Like this one in Health, where I got the whole class to laugh. Because it was funny, mind you.

And the time? I think it was just shy of the minimum length.

wow im impressed. you actually stayed near the minimum time. lol and i was in that core. i had humanities science and then math.

6th grade was science humanities math.
7th grade was science math humanities.

i love how i can remember my schedules.

All I know is that if there was a "most advanced" core, then I was in it.

My health speech was on how to get out of giving a speech. I thought it was ironic enough to work.

Weird, my speech was about how not to give a speech.

Essentially the same topic, and yet we came up with it independently...

i think i talked about what i want to be when i grow up. freshman year i talked about why i watch tv. hah great topics.

Speech topics are normally pretty bland. Just interesting enough to help people think of what to say, but never really worthwhile.

well i chose the what i want to do topic. i hate talking about myself.

then again i hate talking about things in genera when there is a large group involved.

Although, you're right in that freshman year I had to introduce myself or actually no, they gave us a list of lame topics.

And now to accompany my awesome speeches, I want to become awesome at powerpoint presentations.

Wait was yours on how to do a speech badly or how to cheat your way out of giving a speech, because mine was definintly the latter. Mr. Coons told me he was frightened by my devious methods.

lol i liked mr coons. i had him and he was also the one who gave me my ACT.

and yes they were lame topics freshman year. soco gave me a decent one though.

i did a few powerpoints this past year. not amazing though.

No, it was definitely how not to give a speech. Or in your words, "...how to do a speech badly."

And Mr. Coons said it was funny. Or maybe he didn't. My mental image of Coons has since blended in with Lefor, because to me, they're basically the same person.

i never had lefor so i wouldnt know. lefor does have a great announcer voice though. lol
